Almost no one in their movement could have claimed to have witnessed Soundwave laughing. The stoic, serious façade was what most saw, but Megatron knew differently.

Standing with his third-in-command at one of the consoles in the command center, Megatron paused upon hearing the distinctive scraping sound and characteristic yelp of a seeker’s thruster slipping in a puddle of water on the deck and colliding aft-first with the ground.

“It appears that Starscream is having… technological difficulties.”

Megatron barked a dry laugh at Soundwave’s comment, slapping his palm against the table in front of him. Puddles often formed from drips leaking through the Nemesis’ hull, an everyday hazard. Really, Starscream should have known better. No one else in the command center seemed to see the humor in the situation, perhaps, instead, expecting retribution from their second-in-command for deriving joy from his embarrassment. All the better to be beyond reproach then.

“That’s not funny! Megan! Stop laughing at me right now!”

What no one but the old war-frame seemed to realize was that Soundwave was the most hilarious person he’d ever been fortunate enough to meet. Even if everyone else thought neither of them had senses of humor. That didn’t matter.
